Paul Tash is an American journalist and media executive who is currently serving as the Chairman and CEO of the Tampa Bay Times. He was born on December 21, 1951, in Syracuse, New York. Tash obtained his Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications and a Master's degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
Tash began his journalism career as a reporter for The Miami Herald in 1978. He worked his way up the ranks and eventually became the paper's Executive Editor in 1994. During his tenure, The Miami Herald won numerous accolades, including six Pulitzer Prizes.
In 2004, Tash was appointed to his current role as the Chairman and CEO of the Tampa Bay Times, where he oversees the operations of one of the largest daily newspapers in Florida. Under his leadership, the newspaper has continued to win awards for its investigative reporting and public service journalism.
Apart from his work in the media industry, Tash is also involved in various philanthropic organizations and serves on the boards of several non-profit groups. He is married and has two children.
